To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the year of Thomas Chippendale’s birth in 2018, the Chippendale Society has commissioned a commemorative, numbered edition of specially hand-made and engraved glasses.
Each glass is hand-made made from 24% lead crystal by David Wallace and Andrew Sanders at their studio/workshop in Pateley Bridge, Yorkshire.
The design is a modern interpretation of an 18th century English glass, made by blowing molten glass and shaping and manipulating it using simple metal and wooden tools in the traditional manner.
Each signed and numbered glass will be engraved with the Chippendale 300 logo and will be presented in a specially-designed, lined presentation box.
